Chiefs’ Willie Gay on what impresses him about Bengals offense … – Audacy

The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the NFL’s more productive offenses, but apparently they’ve yet to do anything to move the needle for Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay.

With conference championship weekend nearing, we’re hitting the point where most players – save for Eli Apple – are getting a little tighter-lipped. No one wants to be the guy to inadvertently divulge something they shouldn’t, and most don’t want to be the one to offer some bulletin board material to the opposition.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has outright admitted he looks everywhere for said bulletin board material. Gay made his job pretty easy this week, point blank responding “nothing” twice when asked Thursday what impresses him most about the Bengals offense.

Ironically, that remark came seconds after he invoked a message from Andy Reid about not talking and just being ready for the game.

You have to respect the gamesmanship, but it is a little comical that he couldn’t even deliver a throwaway line about how dangerous (or whatever sports platitude you want to insert) Joe Burrow or Ja’Marr Chase is.

It’s worth mentioning that Gay was on the Chiefs team that gave up 27 points to the Bengals in their AFC title game loss last year.
