Based on the highly successful adventure story, The Last Of Us follows the journey of Joel and Ellie as they navigate the post-apocalyptic US after a mass fungal infection sparks a global pandemic.

Episode three is a departure away from the protagonists as it takes fans into the unlikely romance between Bill and Frank. While a little love is what we needed amid constant scenes of survival, fans were left sobbing after discovering it wasn’t a happy ending for the characters.

Is Nick Offerman gay?

Parks And Recreation actor Nick, 52, is not gay. He has been married to Megan Mullally, 64, since 2003. She is best known for portraying Karen Walker in Will & Grace.

The couple met while rehearsing for a play with the Evidence Room Theatre Company called The Berlin Circle in 2000.

“We had a lot of scenes together, and I started thinking, ‘Wait a minute, he’s funny,’” Megan recalled.

Since then, the pair have shared the screen several times, including on each other’s sitcoms, and three independent films: Smashed, Somebody Up There Likes Me, and The Kings of Summer.

Nick is one of the many straight actors who is passionate about LGBTQ+ representation in the film industry,

“Theater, film and television are the storytelling mediums that often represent the underrepresented,” Screen Rant quotes from his interview.

“So, in my lifetime that’s been gender issues, queer issues, and race issues – and that’s where my heart has gone. When I read scripts, if there’s any kind of humor that’s misogynistic or homophobic or racist, that is just a red flag.”

Despite not identifying with the community, fans are sobbing over his heartfelt portrayal, which sees Bill and Frank end their lives together.

Murray Bartlett came out in the early 2000s

Murray, on the other hand, revealed his homosexuality early in his career. The exact date is unknown, but the Australian actor is credited as a pioneer for openly gay actors by portraying Oliver Spencer, a gay shoe distributor, in a 2002 episode of Sex And The City.

Although it would have been deemed a bold move at the time, Bartlett, 51, notes that there wasn’t an alternative. “I just never felt I could ever be anything but myself,” he told GQ in 2021.

Luckily, Murray had a strong support system that made him feel confident in his identity. He does note, however, that he may have missed out on career opportunities due to his sexuality as straight male Sex And The City stars went on to glittering careers immediately.

Bartlett, on the other hand, became notable in 2014 for his role in HBO’s Looking, and most recently for The White Lotus.
