A.J. Brown, Willie Gay Jr. to represent Starkville in Super Bowl LVII … – The Commercial Dispatch
Starkville and Mississippi State University will be well represented in Super Bowl LVII.
With wins by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC championship game and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC title game, several local players will play on the biggest stage in sports Feb. 12.
A pair of Starkville natives — Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown and Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay Jr. — will play in their first Super Bowls.
Former Mississippi State standouts Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay will play for the Eagles. Former Bulldog defensive tackle Chris Jones, who had two sacks in the Chiefs’ win over Cincinnati on Sunday night, will join Gay on the Chiefs.
Super Bowl LVII kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
